Call for Applications: UNODC Youth Consultation on 10 October

Dear Youth representatives,

 

To facilitate input from young people on preventing and countering transnational organized crime, UNODC is organizing a Youth Consultation on 10 October prior to the 12th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (COP12 UNTOC, 14-18 October 2024). The Consultation will facilitate a discussion between UNODC and youth actors as well as youth-led/youth-focused stakeholders with community-based experience on preventing and countering transnational organized crime. 

The consultation will focus on topics relevant to COP12 UNTOC, such as organized fraud, crimes that affect the environment and organized crime, and the dual nature of technology as means of and tool against organized crime. Outcomes of the consultation will be presented to Member States during COP12 UNTOC. 

We invite youth representatives ages 18-29 to express interest to participate by completing the online application form until 3 September 2024. We are particularly look for youth representatives with relevant experience and knowledge on topics related to organized crime. Selected participants will be contacted the week of 16 September 2024.
